Wooden bat pen with ballpoint interior. Coopersburg Sports
Officially licensed product. The Hickory Crawdads are the Class-A Minor League affiliate of the MLB Texas Rangers.
The wood has a nice weight to it, way more solid than I expected from a novelty pen. Ink flows smoothly and it's a fun desk piece for any Rangers fan following the minor league squad.
The bat shape is a fun touch and it actually writes smoothly, not scratchy like I worried a novelty pen might. The wooden barrel has a nice weight in hand, heavier than a cheap plastic pen but not tiring during a long scorecard.
Bought this for my dad who's a lifelong Crawdads fan and he actually uses it at his desk every day. The ballpoint writes smooth, though the wooden barrel makes it a bit top-heavy for long writing sessions.
